When once tranquil waters, rise up in towering rogue wave, the very air angry threat, they rise. All that they are, all the creator of the Earth and the cosmos has combined and inserted in each of these, once called to aid man or woman that endeavor to test their mettle or nobly provide for a sustenance, no matter, the--noble Coast Guard--acts for humanity sake to save any man or woman, that have been humble and forthright asked for rescue, the mighty Coast Guard will bring life’s light to each of these--irrelevant of the cost, with bold and courageous men or women without equal, save for the Blessed Mother Mary, on machined wings, or extraordinary vessels with their special task specifically noted before on sacred mission. 

None is more dedicated to the assurance of safe return--of any that slip from domestic port, for laudable cause or currency for effort, these are not questions the United States Coast Guard ponder. Answers come secondarily to their mandate. For it is widely known among the seafaring, that these hero’s are without a part of the lexicon of the masses--impossible--that the average seafarer need not say, with full confidence, knowing that the Coast Guard will not settle, compromise, nor fail, or falter, in super human effort to come to aid anyone of us, for they know not fear, nor anxiety felt, in particular knowledge of the elements, air and water. 

Only the elements that compose of a single Human, that is in the most dire of need for the best, in hasty dispatch, of the boldest, a few of Mankind’s most daring. From the icy seas off the shores of the Northernmost state of a land known as Alaska, they tarry not, regardless of environmental condition, by day or the most dark of night, they will come once they hear the call regardless of danger, go aboard. Their cause--inherently meritorious each time they lift to the unruly sky’s, or violent sea. They come when there is no other in the remote, or the widely charted sea. They come with the echoed sound of the wail of wives and children calling out to provide a miracle. For though they understand the danger and peril that Earths waters hide, they are not among the number that are so vain or arrogant, that don’t know that hidden in the sea--is a beast--once disturbed, can rend lifeless man or steely hull.

The Coast Guard has task to watch the domestic shores of the United States, a nations eyes and ears, patrolling out of that eyesight or the sound, seeking those that would deter or threaten the safety of the congregation of the free, with the mettle and true spirit of those terms, imbedded, in the description of these brave. Their mandate includes the interdiction of pirates, or the evil that carry poisonous substance in their holds for a market engulfed by black intent. For they are, our American coastal sentinels.
