Troy Steward is a son of a Retired Green Beret. He is a 21+ year Infantry 1SG having spent half his career in the Active Army and half in the National Guard. He is a veteran of two wars, has deployed five times stateside for homeland security missions, has spent (8) years on Jump status and is a Master Parachutist. Additionally, Steward is also a Military Mountaineering instructor. Steward's son has also served a tour in Afghanistan as a combat medic. The Bouhammer Blog was started to keep Steward's family and friends informed about his deployment, and has now become a forum to help keep the world informed about military related issues and the continuing war in Afghanistan.
